With a flash of light, Kenneth appeared in front of Nirven town's poke center along with his brother's Kadabra who was twirling her spoon in the air using her psychic powers. After a quick look to make sure he had everything, he turned towards the Psi Pokemon with a slight smirk on his face. "Well, that sure was fast, seeing that you didn't know where this place was. Thanks."
The Pokemon just hummed before disappearing, most likely going back to her trainer. Ken lower his head and sighed, knowing that his words were probably taken the wrong way... again. At least she didn't teleport him onto the roof of the building.
He raised his head back up and glance around the small town before spotting a path of flowers. His mind race with possibilities, wondering what could be at the end. He jogged off down the path, passing a sign of some sort. If he had read it, he would have known this was the way to the lab.
He soon came to a large garden and a small blue building. He speed up his pace a little till he got to the door that read 'Nirven Lab'. "Of course," he said, hitting himself on the head. He knock on the door and sat down to rest.
He would have mentally check off what Pokemon he wanted to get here before exploring this region, but a sudden sickness started to boil in his stomach. "That's the last time I teleport somewhere," he stated to himself, leaning his back against the door.

There was no answer.
Not immediately anyways. After a few seconds, a Heracross, Cronin, answered the door. He opened it slightly, looking around lazily for who had knocked. He easily found Kenneth and sighed. <New trainer eh? So troublesome.>
He opened the door wider, disregarding the fact that Kenneth was leaning against it. <Well, come in. And hurry up a bit, please. You woke me up from my nap.> He grumbled, <And I was having such a nice dream...>
He left the door wide open as he walked back into the lab, not waiting for Kenneth to follow him, muttering things about 'troublesome trainers' as he walked.

The sudden loss of a back rest startled Ken a bit. Turning his head around, he saw the lab was now open with a Pokemon walking away from the door. "Heracross," he stated to himself before getting up and following the bug type.
"You could say that I'm new." He didn't like the fact he had to leave behind the rest of his Pokemon back in Johto because of this bet of starting over his career as a trainer. "Sorry for the interruption. I hate getting woke up also. Usually it means I'm late for something." That last part he muttered to himself, remembering all the ways he was forced to wake up.

Cronin shrugged, not really caring anymore. <If you hadn't woken me up, then Vierna would've.> He shuddered at the thought. <She's usually in charge of waking me up, and she enjoys it way too much. Troublesome Vaporeon.> He grumbled.
Getting down to buisness, Cronin gestured toward a nearby wall where a poster was pinned up. <Have you chosen your Pokemon yet? There's a list over there.> He said, leaning agaisnt the wall it was on.
He let out another yawn a his eye lids began to droop. <Tell me when your ready...>

"I already made my choice before getting here," he politely said, but still walked over to the poster just to make sure. His heart skipped a beat when he saw more Pokemon than he thought was there. "I would like to train a Cyndaquil please. I don't really care which one, as long as it can get use to being out on routes more than hanging around towns."

Cronin grumbled from his place near the wall and stood, disappearing into another room. He soon came back, holding a Pokeball, which he quickly deposited into Ken'shands. <This Pokemon should suit your specifications.>

Ken grasped the orb in his right hand, examining it with an inquisitive eye while turning it side to side. The fact that it's been seven years since he held a pokeball like this dawned on him. He smiled.
"Thanks," he said firmly. "I should be able to explore a lot farther with this Pokemon." He swiftly minimized the pokeball, gracefully depositing it in his right pocket. "Tell the professor that her Pokemon will be in good hands and thanks also."
With those words spoken, he smoothly left the lab. Since he already had a pack and pokedex, along with some money, he really didn't need to stay in this town any longer. "Although, I wouldn't be a good explorer if I didn't check out this town at least once. Guess I'll come back here later."
