OOC: No, its okay. Man, that stinks... I hate it when computers die! Oh, and levels will be given out after the battle.
-----------------
Jacob notices the worry in the trainer's eyes and feels badly for the injury his Pokemon had inflicted on the Eevee. When the trained glared at him, Jacob flinched fearfully, as did his Pokemon. They flinched long enough for the tackle to connect.
Ginds flew backwards again, this time not getting up. He had fainted.
"Ginds, return! Rest for a while, and I will take you to Aunt Joy after the battle, okay buddy?" he said as he recalled his Charmander, his voice cracking with his worry. He looks towards the trainer and smiles, his smile filled with shame.
Soon though, his face took on a determined look as her released Rinco his Spinarak. "Come on Rinco, you can do it!" he said. "You can switch out Pokemon if you want," he called to Cass, knowing that Tokala was growing very tired. [/sub]

Cass' glare diminished as she noticed the shame in Jacob's eyes. She smiled softly at him, feeling guilty. "It's okay. I just need to get over the fact that my Pokemon will get hurt when they are fighting." Cass' attention returned to Tokala as she gathered him up in her arms, whispering soothingly in his ear. "It's okay, Tokala. I'll get you to Nurse Joy real soon. We'll let Akina take over." Cass mumbled, recalling the injured Eevee.
Tokala protested a little, but went into his Pokeball anyways.
Cass gently unwrapped the shiny Dratini from her place around her neck. "It's okay, Akina. You can do this."
Akina timidly nodded and slithered down her arm, eventually landing on the ground as she stared at her opponent, a Spinarak.
"Okay!" Cass yelled, her eyes filled with determination. "Let's get this party started! Akina, wrap that Spinarak up!"
Akina didn't even nod as she quickly slithered toward the Bug type, preparing to wrap herself around him.

Jacob winced as the Dratini wrapped itself around his Spinarak. He was to worried about Rinco getting hurt to respond to Cass, but he instead searched his mind, thinking of what he could do in this situation.
"Quick! Use Poison sting!" he called out, realising that it would be hard for the Dratini to avoid while it was so close. Spinarak let out a groan as it tried to breath, but it quickly obeyed by trying to pokew Dratini with its stinger on its head.

"Akina!" Cass yelled as the Poison Sting connected, poisoning the Dratini. Hopefully Dratini's ability Shed Skin would kick in. "Keep squeezing! You can do it Akina!"
Akina yelped as Rinco's stinger entered her skin, the ppison beginning to spread around her body, but she held tight, squeezing the Spinarak as hard as she could.
She willed her skin to shed. The poison would go away if she shed it, and it wouldn't do too much damage if she shed her skin quickly.

Jacob hit himself on the head, angry that he had forgotten about a Dratini's shed skin ability. The stinger had hurt the Pokemon, but the effect was barely noticeable because the poison had been shed.
In a panic now, knowing that he had to find out a way to get the Dratini off of his Spinarak, called out, "Rinco, hurry, use string shot!"
The Spinarak tried with all of its might to release its string, but everything was going black. The world was spinning; Rinco was suffocating. In a last mad attemt, he manages to spew out a wad of string, covering both him and the Dratini. [/sub]

Cass grinned as Akina shed her skin, the poison now out of her body. And by the looks of things, Spinarak was suffocating. Akina knew to let go of the Spinarak when it fainted though.
Akina continued to squeeze Rinco, but when he spat out the sticky substance known as String Shot, Akina panicked. Rinco's attack had backfired.
Because she had been wrapped around him, she was now STUCK to him! She struggled to get out of the String Shot, keeping a hold on the Bug Type still, but when she found it was futile, she squeezed him harder than she had before out of anger.

When the Dratini squeezed harder, the Spinarak's will gave out, and it did faint. Jacob quickly ran to the pair of Pokemon, tears in his eyes. Why did he do something so STUPID!? Now the two Pokemon were stuck together, meaning that Spinarak would continue to be squeezed.
"No, Rinco!" he yelled franticly. He reaced down nd tried to pull the string off of him, but his hands got stuck. Another stupid move. "Crap! Help!" he yelled.
Jacob's father yelled from the dorrway, "You have to return him Jacob!! Son, think!"
Jacob's eyes went wide as the obvious realization came to him. "Cass, please help me! Please grab his pokeball, the one with the green leaf painted on it, and return him to it! I'm sorry for being so mean before, just please help!" he cried out to the Trainer, desperation in his voice. A scary thought came to his mind. What if she refused to help him because he had been so mean!? [/sub]

He only had to ask once before Cass dashed toward the Pokeball, all the while yelling at her Pokemon. "Akina, it's okay! The battle is over, stop squeezing!"
Cass quickly came upon the pokeball and hurriedly pointed it at Rinco, her eyes wide. "Return!" She cried.
As the Spinarak was summoned back to his Pokeball, Cass quickly ran forward and separated Akina from the String as best she could, crying. "I'm sorry, so sorry!" She yelled, wiping her tears as she realized that Aina could have killed Rinco. She brought Akina to her face, ready to scold her, but she stopped as she saw the state Akina was in.
Akina was visibly shaking, her eyes wide and a scared look upon her face as she stared at the Pokeball Cass had dropped on the ground. Cass quickly put two and two together as she comforted the distraught Pokemon.
<Cass, wha-what did I do?> Akina mumbled scared. Id didn't meant to... I-I was just really scared when I was stuck to him a-a-and..> Akina stopped her blubbering as she ducked her head in shame.
"It's okay, Akina. I know you didn't mean to." Cass mumbled. "Why don't you take a rest, okay?" She shakily asked, a sad smile on her face.
Akina nodded, and Cass returned her to her Pokeball. Cass turned to Jacob again, tears springing to her eyes as what had happened just a moment ago ran through her mind. "I'm sorry... So, so sorry." She said, unable to look Jacob in the eyes as she cried.

With the two Pokemon released from the sticky string, Jacob was able to get himself free, but he was visably shaking.
He couldn't think, couldn't even speak. He listened quietly to Cass and Akina, taking in every word they said, his eye filling with tears as he did so. Yes, Rinco could have been killed, but he blamed neither the trainer nor the Pokemon. It was his fault.
When Cass turned back to him, apologizing and crying, Jacob felt horrible. He stood up, smiling sadly as he did so. Without warning, he springs upon Cass with a hug.
"It's okay... It wasn't your fault. I was being stupid... If I hadn't been so big-headed and thinking I was the greatest trainer ever, then I would have listened to my father more when he taught me. I would have known better than to make those stupid mistakes," he said comfortingly, himself crying as well.
Meanwhile, Jacob's father had run from the doorway and into the house. He came running back out and over to the two triners right after Jacob had finished talking, looking very worried. Once he saw that the Pokemon were out of the web, he felt much better, but still worried.
"I called Nurse Joy. She is coming over right away. Come on inside," he said while beckoning Cass and Jacob inside.

Cass stumbled back in surprise as Jacob tackled her in a hug, her tearful eyes wide as he body stiffened. But as Jacob whispered to her, Cass relaxed, sniffling as she returned the hug. "But that doesn't make it all your fault either. You panicked, all people do stupid things when they panic." Cass mumbled to him, a small smile spreading across her face.
Cass looked up as Jacob's father came back, announcing that Nurse Joy would be by soon. Cass suddenly wondered if Nurse Joy might be angry that her Pokemon hurt Jacob's Pokemon, even if it was a battle. Cass inwardly shuddered. An angry Nurse Joy was a scary Nurse Joy.
Cass glanced at Jacob again, smiling. "I'm sure Rinco will be okay, Ginds too. Tokala 'll be fine, though Akina is a little shaken up." Cass' thoughts drifted to her shiny Dratini. Would she be okay?

Jacob backed away from the hug, his face lit up in a happy smile. "Yeah, you're probabaly right," he replied, his face turning slightly sadder, "but, I really hope that Akina will be alright..."
A few moments later, Nurse Joy appears outside the house. She had a Rapidash which she was leading, which would explain how she arrived so quickly. "Where are the Pokemon? Give me their pokeballs," she says, wasting no time in getting out a small machine with six pokeball sized slots in it.
The nurse looks neither mad, nor worried. Rather, she looks calm and confident. Of course, she had done this many times before.

Cass quickly handed the Pokeballs to Nurse Joy, a flash of worry passing through her eyes for a moment before she grinned at Jaocb. “I’m sure she’ll be okay. Akina will be fine, just you wait and see.” Cass comforted, laying a hand on his shoulder.
Cass attention flitted to the Rapidash for a moment. Now that her Pokemon were being healed… “Oh, I love your Rapidash!” Cass squealed, a large grin spreading across her face. Rapidash were number 7 on her Top Ten list of Pokemon.
Cass coughed. “Ehem sorry… I get like that around my favorite species of Pokemon.” Cass mumbled sheepishly a blush spread across her face. “So, will our Pokemon be okay?”

Nurse Joy took the pokeballs from Cass and the balls that Jacob handed her, and placed them into the slots on the machine. The balls glowed in different colors, blue then yellow, red then green, ect. A Ting! sounded from the maching, signalling the completion of the healing process.
When Cass squealed out, Nurse Joy glanced back to her Rapidash, a smile showing on her face. "That's alright. I'm sure that she likes to praise," Joy replied, laughing. "She is quite vain."
At the Nurse's reply, the Rapidash turned its head and snorted indiginately. <Hmmph, yeah, just because people notice my astonishing beauty, is no reason to think that I am VAIN!> she said.
Jacob looked Cass in the eyes, a sudden thought coming to his mind. "Cass, I am really sorry for being such a jerk to you before. I know! I have something to give you, as a way of apologizing!" he said, running into the house without even waiting to get his pokeballs or to hear Cass's reply.
Nurse Joy shruged and handed Cass back her two pokeballs. "Here you go. They are all healed now," she said packing her machine back up.
Forgot earlier, so here: Tokala gained two levels! Akina gained one level!

Cass smiled and collected the Pokeballs, giving each one a kiss before placing them in her bag. She smiled at the Rapidash, giggling at her words. ”You ARE quite beautiful, though you seem to already know that.” She paused as she watched Jacob run into his house, a puzzled look on her face. “I wonder what he could be getting?” Cass pondered, her brow furrowed in thought as she tried to guess what he would bring out. She quickly gave up however, for it could be any number of things. ------------- OOC – Shouldn’t Akina know Thunder Wave? www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/147.shtml

OOC:// Ummm, well Serebii says so, but my FireRed/LeafGreen giude says that it doesn't learn it until level 8... I usually go by my book because it takes me too much time to get my computer to load the Serebii.net page. --------------------- Cass didn't have to wonder for long, because in barely a minute, Jacob returned, out of breath. "Here, I want to give you this!" he said once he caught his breath, and held out his hand. In Jacob's outstreached hand was a large, and sharp looking fang, on a golden chain. "It's a Dragon Fang; it will increase the power of dragon type moves. It would prove useful to Akina once she learns some dragon attacks, but it also seems to give its wearer... courage? Yeah, thats the only way I can describe it. It's almost as if the Dragon Pokemon from which it came lends it's courage to the wearer," Jacob said excitedly. His eyes twinkled with glee that he could give someone something so rare. The Ponyta was about to reply before Jacob came out and held the fang out for Cass, and now it simply stared in amazement. Nurse Joy too was in awe, but Jacob's father mearly smiled, proud of his son. You recieve a dragon fang! - Dragon Fang x1
