Sybyll walked into Nirven Town a little resignedly. She didn't want to have to travel through the town, in the event that she might meet some people. The idea didn't particularily appeal to her.
At least she didn't have to go to the Pokemon Center. Maybe she would be able to make it through town without having to speak to anyone. Yet, something inside her longed for a human friend. She just didn't want to get hurt anymore.
On a sudden thought, Sybyll grabbed her Larvitar's pokeball from her belt. "Come on out," she said as she pressed the button twice. Once to enlarge it, then again to release her new Pokemon. The tell-tale red light appeared and the left, with only Jake remaining, standing in front of Sybyll.
The Larvitar did a little dance and then looked around. He saw a building and immediately rushed over to it, tapping on its wall. Sybyll sighed with a smile on her face. "Larvitar, stop! Come on, walk by me," she said walking forward.
<Okay. But, are we going to battle!?> he replied excitedly. He returned to his trainer's side and walked right by her, keeping pace with her.
"I don't know. Let's see," Sybyll replied simply. [/sub]

The town actually seemed to be unusually quiet and calm. There was not a soul in sight, but if Sybyll looked at the sky she would spot huge black rain clouds gathering overhead. That may have explained why no one was about. At least, no one was about until a Zigzagoon walked out from an alley between two houses.
He seemed to be quite depressed about something or other, and his head was bowed low to the ground. The Normal-type didn't seem to notice Sybyll or Jake and just walked right by them. [/sub]

<Hey! Wanna battle!?> Jake asked excitedly, allowing his impulsiveness to get the better of himself. He ran over to the depressed Pokemon, oblivious to how sad he looked.
Sybyll sighed and rushed over to her Larvitar and the Zigzaggon. She picked up Jake hurriedly in her arms and bent over to look the Zigzaggon in the eyes. "Are you alright? I am sorry for Jake's... hyperness. Please forgive him," she said kindly, apologetically.
Her feather-like tail blew in the wind. It looked as if it was going to rain soon. By this time the Larvitar had calmed down enough to see the sadness radiating from the Zigzagoon. He looked at it with a frown, feling bad for being so impulsive. [/sub]

The Zigzagoon turned its head to see who the voice belonged to. Seeing the Larvitar issue a challenge to it, the Normal Pokemon remained sad and depressed. Ack, a battle now? The Zigzagoon didn't seem too thrilled about battling.
" It's okay. But, I'm not okay... Everyone abandoned me... "
The Zigzagoon answered Sybyll when she asked if it was alright. Tears began to form in the Pokemon's eyes, so it quickly looked away. It didn't want to look like such a wuss in front of this girl and her Pokemon. However, the Zigzagoon was incapable of holding the tears back.
