Well, the hard part seemed to be over as the mass of silvery hair soon made it to the first stop on her adventure. Her hand now held the shiny Riolu she had received just a bit earlier and she knew what she was getting into. It was a female and she was incredibly shy. She had been when she was little...but she later opened up. Hopefully she could get this little girl to be strong.
She smiled as she released the shiny Riolu, now standing in the place of the white light. The ruby eyes stared from behind her blackish mask, a glint of fear gazing up at the woman before her. A shiver went up her spine as Hokuto slowly bent down so she could meet face to face with her new Riolu. Knowing she could easily be frightened, she spoke cautiously, calmly and softly. "Hello Rio...My name is Hokuto. I hope we can become good friends."
*...*Rio took a step back, looking down to the ground instead of at the trainers face, remaining quiet. The young female understood, standing back up. She wasn't going to force talk out of her. She would talk when she felt comfortable. "Thats okay," she said down to the small Pokemon. "It is hard to talk sometimes. I wont make you do anything you don't wish to do just yet. But a whole journey lies ahead of us. Let's go Rio." *...* The Large red eyes gazed to the trainer, who started forward.
Jumping slightly, Rio ran toward Hokuto, nearly clinging to her leg now as she walked yet still not speaking. The silver haired lass smiled, feeling the gentle touch. At least she didn't stay away.

A creamy colored cat-like Pokemon watched the girl as she entered the route, taking interest in the whole interaction between the silver haired lass and the shy little Riolu. He could not remember ever seeing a Pokemon quite so timid... Other than his little brother, that is.
The Meowth had to whipe away a tear as he recalled his poor brother. But, the normal-type had moved on long ago, he knew that he had to be strong. When Hokuto began walking, the Meowth started forward. Something about the trainer and Pokemon just seemed to call to him.
He came into view a short while later, trying to make his appearance non-threatening. He didn't want to scare the shiny fighting-type, but he did want to perhaps talk to her... or her trainer. Meowth, a Pokemon fond of shiny objects, was captivated by the shining silver hair of Hokuto, as well as the golden coat of the Riolu. [/sub]

The two of them continued to walk forward when the attention of the feline came to the girls attention,, stopping her in her tracks right away. Rio looked from behind her leg, gazing with her large red eyes at the Meowth, a little curiosity giving away at them, but still not moving from where she was standing. Hokuto gave a smile at the cat-Pokemon who came into view.
"Look Rio," she said gently to the fighting type, "We got ourselves some company...Hello there," she greeted the Meowth happily and the little Riolu blushed, still gazing from where she was standing

The Meowth broke free of his trance at the shining colors, and offered an awkward smile to the girl and Pokemon. <Hello...> he replied, his curiosity evident even in his voice. He then turned his attention fully to the Riolu, which reminded him so much of his brother.
<I won't hurt you,> he said calmingly, gently. He noticed some curiosity in Rio's orbs, and his smile became much less awkward. He took a few more non-threatening steps towards the trainer and her Pokemon, then suddenly stopped.
He remembered stories about trainers who came and just sent out their Pokemon to battle any wild Pokemon that came across their path, and then they either left them lying on the ground where they fell or they threw orbs at them which sucked them in to never be seen again. His expression turned fearful at the thought; it wouldn't be the first time that his curiosity had gotten him into trouble. [/sub]

Hokuto gave another smile, her silvery hair giving a sway as she bent down, now kneeling next to the Riolu, who gave a small gasp, still looking at the Meowth. The pink tint on her cheeks stayed there as she managed a feeble smile. *Hi....* Her paw gave a small wave, her eyes still giving the sign of curiosity. Hokuto gazed at her Riolu after she spoke for the first time, even if it was just a small hello. She had such a sweet voice, it was quite cute actually.
Hokuto soon noticed the feline before them had stopped coming toward them. What had cause it...Her golden eyes opened a little wide. "H-hey...it's okay..." She raised her hands up a little, showing she had nothing in her hands. "I don't plan attacking or anything. I promise." Her father always taught her to fight with in the boundaries of a fair fight if the conditions were set. The only way she planned to attack as if she were ambushed first.

The Meowth smiled warmly at the Riolu, despite his apprehension. He continued to stand there with a hint of fear in his eyes until Hokuto spoke. At her words the Pokemon immediately calmed. He could sense the honesty in the girl's voice and knew that he was safe with her.
<I guess that you aren't like the trainers I've heard about in stories then,> he said, his laid-back and curious attitude returning. The normal-type found that he actully trusted this human, the first he had ever really dared to talk to.
The Meowth opened his mouth, about to say something more, when a loud voice called out from down the street. "Hey you there, girl! Is that your Meowth?" a boy said as he ran towards them. He stopped a few feet away from the trio and grinned mischeviously. He stood awaiting an answer, tossing a pokeball casually in the air as he did. [/sub]
