Cass walked silently along the path Route Three surveying the land. It was rather quiet, with nothing but plants in sight. She knew that wild Pokemon didn't normally go on the path, so her best bet would be to leave. But what if she somehow got lost?
After a few minutes of mental debate, Cass decided she would leave the path, but not wander off to far. So if she needed to go back on the path she could easily make her way back. She wanted to get some more training in with her Pokemon, mostly with Aya, as she was the weakest of her six.
Cass suddenly looked into her bag, grinning a bit as she remembered the Rare Candies she had. She could easily bring Aya up to level with the others, but she only give her a few, and not all ten, maybe only five. She grabbed the Ponyta's pokeball, quickly releasing her.
Aya appeared in the familiar red light, and quickly looked around. She stared disappointedly at Cass once she realized they weren't in a battle. <What's going on, Cass?>
Cass fished five of the Rare Candies from her bag, quickly explaining what they did. But all she really had to do was mention that they make her stronger and Aya would've eaten them. She knew she was the weakest, and she hated it. She quickly devoured the five candies, grinning.

Aya gains five levels, and learns Tail Whip!
While the Ponyta ate the Rare Candies, a pair of eyes watched from a tree. They belonged to a rather curious Natu, who had more in mind than just watching quietly. She smiled mischeviously and dived out of her perch and aimed for Cass's head.
She purposefully pulled upward before she would have hit it. She didn't want to harm the trainer, just irritate her. She landed a little ways away, laughing at the sport. <Hahaha, how about some real fun! Want to battle me?> she asked, a glint in her eye. [/sub]

Cass' eyes widened in surprise as the Natu dive bombed her, and she dove to the ground, letting out a squeak. She quickly scrambled back up, glaring at the psychic Pokemon. She shook her fist at it, growling. "Why you little!"
Aya let out an irritated snort, glaring at the small bird Pokemon. <I can take him, Cass! Let me fight!> Aya said, glaring at the Natu. She was eager to fight now that she had a chance against the Pokemon in this area.
Cass nodded, still glaring at the Natu. "Alright, let's have some fun! Aya, Growl!"
Aya responded quickly, growling at the bird that she was to fight.

Natu let out a squak at the Ponyta's Growl. She could actually feel her attack lowering, steadily more and more as the Growl went on. The Psychic bird Pokemon shook herself and aggresively faced Aya.
The little bird rushed forward with her beak, aiming for a Peck attack. Meanwhile, the sky was steadily growing darker as it drew nearer to the night. Already a full moon was visible in the sky. [/sub]

Aya ducked her head in an attempt to avoid the Peck attack, but to no avail. She let out a yelp as the bird Pokemon pecked her, and she shook her head, her fiery mane flicking wildly.
"Aya," Cass yelled to the Fire type. "Use Quick Attack!" Cass watched the bird Pokemon for a moment, glancing at the dark sky. It would be harder to find the Natu, should it run off, while Aya was a glowing target!
Aya nodded and glared angrily at the Psychic bird Pokemon. She charged forward, her anger fueling her speed.

The Natu was astonished at the Ponyta's speed and didn't even try to dodge. The Quick Attack hit full force and sent the Psychic bird flying backwards, her light weight making her go farther. <Fast,> the Natu said simply.
The bird Pokemon paused for a split secong to think, then decided to use Peck again. Afterall, it had worked last time. <Maybe I picked the wrong person to annoy!> she said as she flew towards Aya, her beak leading the way. [/sub]

Aya let out a satisfied snort as her attack connected, smirking at the Natu's comment. <Of course!> She said arrogantly, tossing her fiery mane as she awaited Cass' instructions.
Cass sighed, smiling slightly. Aya's ego was getting bigger just by a few comments. "Aya, take the hit! Then use Quick Attack once again!" Cass yelled, her smile widening a bit.
Aya allowed the Peck attack to hit her, grunting a bit as she tossed her head about to keep the Natu at bay. She quickly dashed forward to attack the bird Pokemon, glaring at the Natu in obvious anger.

The Natu merely smirked, confident that she would win. The smirk lightened a little when the Ponyta's Quick Attack hit. The horse Pokemon had went so glaringly fast that Natu had a hard time even seeing her, let alone dodging. She would have to learn to better determine her opponent's movements.
Grimacing, the small bird Pokemon used Night Shade. Suddenly, the area surrounding Aya became pitch black. It was impossible to see anything at al, even with the fire-type's flames. A purple light danced around, then struck the Ponyta. The blackness vanished to reveal a very smug looking Natu.
A few more stars dotted the sky. It would be a clear night, one without the coverage of clouds. So much diffrent from the earlier rainfall. [/sub]

Aya let out a gasp, her eyes wide she studied her dark surroundings. She looked around fearfully, straining her eyes as she tried to find her foe. She let out a yelp as she was attacked, and growled at the Natu as she began to calm herself.
Cass' eyes had widened as well, and she shivered in slight fear. The complete darkness had really scared her. "Aya, keep going! Use Growl!"
Aya didn't need to be told twice. The Natu had already made her angry. She glared at the smug Natu, growling ferociously as she slowly crept closer.

The Natu's attack lowered, and it was his time to be unnerved. More than a little. He shivered and trembled, but brushed it away, putting on a brave face. Then his eye glinted mischeviously. He began to chant, slowly getting faster then slower again.
He was using his Lucky Chant attack. [/sub]

It seemed to register in Aya's mind what the Natu was doing, and Aya snorted, annoyed. <That won't stop me!>
Cass let out a small growl, recognizing the attack. Aya wouldn't be able to do great amounts of damage for a little while. Hopefully regular attacks would suffice. "Aya, go in for another Tackle!"
Aya let out another snort before she raced forward, growling a bit under her breathe as she narrowed her eyes at the Psychic Flying type. ------- OoC - Sorry for the almost ten day absence! I've been busy lately, and then the seventh Harry Potter book came out and all, I spent a lot of time discussing the book with friends. ^^" Yeah, I'll try to get on a lot more!!

Aya's attak hit Natu, but the bird Pokemon knew that he didn't have to worry about the possibility of the Ponyta hitting him with a critical hit. He shook off the blow, but he was definitely weakening.
Natu flew at Aya, her beak leading the way. He knew that it was a slim chance, but maybe he'd be able to knock the Pojntyta out before she did it to him. Of course, no matter what, he wasn't about to just give up. If he lost, he would at least lose with some dignity. [/sub]

I can't tell you how sorry I am for being gone so long! I've been real busy lately. I started writing fanfiction again, been working on some poetry, school started again and I'm becoming really involved there (I joined Drama Club and I'm doing FFA stuff...), and I've had only a little bit of time. But I'm getting used to all the homework and stuff, so I should have more time to get on. ---------- Aya yelped as the Natu's beak hit her, and she tossed her head, trying to fend the bird off. She glared at the Natu and snorted, holding back the urge to attack him. Her breathe was quicker, she was beginning to tire.
"Aya, go! Use Quick Attack!" Cass yelled, her eyes narrowed as she stared at the Natu. "Get 'em! We gotta get stronger, so we can save Drake!
Aya snorted again and dashed forward, still annoyed that her attack would be doing any critical damage. She didn't feel any real attachment toward the human as Cass did, but she wanted to be strong. And she would become strong through saving him, so it was a win for her.

OoC: Lol, it's okay. I completely understand. In fact, I would love to ead some of your stuff! Also, clubs are great, lol. The e-mail I sent was pretty much for the people who joined and haven't been on since. And, yay for FFA!!! ^^
AND, I loved the Harry Potter book!!!!!!
-----
The Natu didn't know what the trainer was talking about when she mentions saving Drake, but from her tone she could tell that Cass was determined to do so.
The Ponyta's speedy attack hit again, and it was a strong blow regardless of the non-critical hit factor. The bird Pokemon fell back, fluttering weakly before she managed to get to the sky once more. She was really weakened, and knew that she would not be able to las that much longer.
As soon as her visions stopped swirling in front of her, the Natu attacked again. Flying at Aya with her beak out like a sword, the Natu rushed in a Peck Attack. She was regretting ever annoying Cass, ever challenging this trainer. [/sub]

Aya flinched as the Natu's beak hit her again, and she faltered in her steps, almost falling to the ground. She glared at the Natu, trying to balance herself, her breathing harsh. She wouldn't last much longer. <I won't met you win!> She snarled before charging forward in an uncommanded Quick Attack.
Cass watched with concern, wondering if Aya would be okay. The fire type was always harder to control, with her anger always getting the better of her. After a few moments, Cass nodded to herself. Aya would be okay. "Let's go, Aya!"
