A loud speaker sounded from out of nowhere, sounding to the entire Grim base. 'Grunt #001, Cath Jordans, Report to Chief Commander's office immediately!' the voice yelled harshly.
Apparantly, the person on the other end assumed that Cath knew that the Chief Commander's office was near the Application office. Or perhaps he just didn't care. If she was late he wouldn't be the one punished, after all. [/sub]

"Stupid intercom," Cath grumbled, turning the TV off. "Why does it have to be so loud? And rude." She added as an after thought. Sighing, she stood, stretching as she grinned. Finally, a misson! She could prove her worth now, and hopefully she could begin her rise above the ranks. Being called a grunt sucked, majorly.
Cath did a quick mirror check, making sure her uniform was straight, as well as her hair. She shot a wink a the mirror, smirking as she deemed her self ready. It was time.
Cath made her way to her door and swiftly opened it, peering down the hall in search of the "Chief Commander's Office". It just wouldn't do for her to get lost, especially as this was her first mission. She briefly pondered on what it could be, but figured she would find out soon enough.
"Now, where is this office..." Cath mumbled as she searched. Thankfully, she soon located it. She walked slowly and carefully, making sure to listen carefully to her surroundings. She knocked, awaiting permission to enter the room.

"Yes, come in, come in!" a woman's voice answered the knocking. She sat behind a desk looking imposing and stern. She was obviously not one to be trifled with.
Fixing a glare on the grunt, the chief commander was unable to hide a small smile. Cath was a female, afterall. She coughed quickly to hide it, and returned the piercing glare. "So, you are a new grunt ae you? Well, I expect you will see how things are done around here soon enough," she said sternly.
"Now to the matter of the mission. My agents tell me that there is a trainer by the name of Aeron, and that he has just entered route one. They tell me that he is being watched by a certain Taillow. Your mission is simple. Prevent Aeron from capturing that Taillow, at all costs," she commanded.
Then the woman seemed to just remember something. "Oh yes, being a new grunt you only have a single level five Pokemon... I strongly advise that you go and train in one of the five training areas before partaking this mission," she added, giving an evil smile. [/sub]

Cath entered the room, silent as she stood in front of her commander. She studied the older woman, inwardly smirking as she caught the woman's small smile. So, she preferred girls over boys, eh? Well, this would definitely play out in her favor.
Cath listened carefully to her assignment, filing it away in her head. So, she had to make sure a guy named Aeron didn't capture a Taillow? Cath was skeptical. What was so special about a Taillow? Eh, whatever. It was her first mission, so she couldn't screw up.
At the mention of training, Cath hid a grin. That would be fun! "Ma'am, yes Ma'am!" Her hand flew up into a salute as she straighten her stance. She would show utmost respect to her superiors. It was just common sense! Cath brought her hand down again and turned, walking silently out the door.

Cath stood outside the Chief Commander's office, eyes closed. All her Pokemon were put away in their Pokeballs, so as far as she knew she completely alone. At the moment she was mentally preparing herself for the misson she would begin. It couldn't be too hard, could it? It was only keeping a Taillow away from some dude named Aeron.
She sighed and took a deep breathe. She was ready. She opened the door to the Commander's office, face blank as she saluted. "Grunt 001, Ma'm, reporting for duty!" Cath nodded, supressing the smile that threatened to come to her face. She was ready to prove herself.

"Very good Cath," the commander replied, the use of Cath's name a show of her respect for the new grunt. "We have news that Aeron is currently in Route One, following the Taillow. You know your mission; Prevent the trainer from aquiring the Pokemon! If you suceed in that, and the Pokemon does not run away, I would like you to capture it and BRING IT TO ME," she said, making sure that the last bit was clear.
The Taillow, the odd colored Pokemon, was needed for testing. Something about it endangered the Grim head's plans, and though the chief commander did not know what it was, she knew her own orders. If Cath succeeded, the Pokemon was to be turned over to the head IMMEDIATELY.
"You may go, Cath Jordans, and don't disappoint me," the woman said. She didn't expect Cath to have much luck, so her implied threat was a hollow one. Cath would not be punished for failure, though the commander could find a lesser male to take her frustration out on should the grun fail. [/sub]
